24-year old lefty swinging OF/1B Daniel Palka was not a highly ranked prospect in the Minnesota Twins‘ system coming into the 2016 season. But, he is opening some eyes with the way he is hitting so far this year. Palka has played in 24 games in AA-ball for the Twins so far this year and he is 28 of 90 (.311 avg, .898 OPS) with 12 runs scored, 3 homers, 15 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Palka has now played in 339 games in his first four years in the minors and he is 362 of 1,308 (.277 avg, .860 OPS) with 216 runs scored, 63 homers, 235 RBIs and 37 stolen bases. He could get promoted to AAA in the near future, if he keeps raking in AA.
