The Minnesota Twins have released 31-year old lefty reliever Loek Van Mil. Van Mil pitched in 5 games (1 start) in AAA-ball for the Twins this year and he was 0-1 with a 23.62 ERA and a 4.31 WHIP. He gave up 17 hits, 15 runs (14 earned) and he walked 6 batters while whiffing 4 in only 5 1/3 innings pitched! Van Mil has pitched in 241 games (10 starts) in his first 10 years in the minors and he is 12-27 with 17 saves, a 3.48 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. The cool thing about Van Mil is that he’s a giant at 7’1″.
