The Minnesota Twins have placed 25-year old switch-hitting OF/SS Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list due to a sprained left shoulder. Santana has played in 75 games for the Twins so far this year and he is 56 of 233 (.240 avg, .606 OPS) with 29 runs scored, 2 homers, 14 RBI and 12 stolen bases (he is tied for the A.L. lead in being caught stealing (9)). The Twins have called up 29-year old lefty swinging outfielder Logan Schafer to replace Santana on the active roster. Schafer played in 64 games in AAA-ball for the Twins this year and he was 57 of 216 (.264 avg, .701 OPS) with 29 runs scored, 4 homers, 19 RBI and 5 stolen bases. Schafer last played in the show in 2015 for the Brewers. He has now played in 292 games in his first five years in the show and he is 119 of 562 (.212 avg, .605 OPS) with 63 runs scored, 5 homers, 52 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
