The Minnesota Twins have called up 30-year old lefty reliever/starter Andrew Albers. Albers pitched in 1 game (0 starts) earlier this year for the Twins and he was 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP. Albers has also pitched in 21 games (all starts) in AAA-ball for the Twins this year and he is 10-6 with a 3.69 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. Albers has now pitched in 12 games (10 starts) in his first three years with the Twins and he is 2-5 with a 4.06 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP. The initial plan was to use Albers as a long reliever, but that might have changed today.
