The Minnesota Twins have placed 26-year old righty reliever Trevor May on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained lower back.  May has pitched in 43 games (0 starts) for the Twins so far this year and he is 2-2 with a 4.89 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP.  May has given up 37 hits (7 homers) and 16 walks while whiffing 59 batters in his first 42 1/3 innings this year for the Twins.  If he can clean up the gopher ball problem, May could really take off in the near future for the Twins.  The Twins have called up 25-year old righty reliever J.T. Chargois to replace May on the active roster.  Chargois came into this season as the Twins’ #15 prospect according to Baseball America.  He pitched in 1 game out of the pen earlier this year for the Twins (his Major League debut) and it was pretty awful!  He pitched 2/3 of an inning and he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks and 5 runs (all earned).  Chargois has also pitched in 28 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball so far this year in which he is 2-1 with a 1.29 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP.  He has given up 27 hits and 8 walks while whiffing 41 batters in his first 35 innings in AAA-ball this year.  The Twins hope that Chargois is ready for Prime Time this time around.
