The Minnesota Twins have released 27-year old lefty reliever Mike Strong. Strong pitched in 16 games (0 starts) in AA-ball for the Twins this year and he was 0-3 with a 8.66 ERA and a 1.98 WHIP. He gave up 22 hits and 13 walks while whiffing 10 batters in 17 2/3 innings in the minors this year. Strong has now pitched in 158 games (28 starts) in his first six years in the minors and he is 13-19 with 13 saves, a 3.86 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. This is no loss for the Twins moving forward.
