The Minnesota Twins have signed 29-year old lefty swinging outfielder Logan Schafer to a minor league deal. Schafer played in 17 games for Lancaster of the Independent League and he was 20 for 67 (.299 avg, .795 OPS) with 8 runs scored, 2 homers, 9 RBIs and 1 stolen base. He has played in 252 games in his first five years in the show and he is 119 of 562 (.212 avg, .605 OPS) with 63 runs scored, 5 homers, 52 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. The Twins need help in the outfield, so don’t be surprised to see Schafer in Minnesota in the near future.
